Time for a change
The Oxfam clothes have just begun to be changed and transformed! The students have begun by making small changes on the details of items, like giving the shoes an embroidered look or adding a colourful colour to a dull old jumper!

Imagination Needed!
These photos show the different Oxfam clothing students received. There is a great variety of items from Hawaiian shirts, to combat trousers, to night dresses. The students definitely need to think of some creative ways to make these items desirable again! Why not visit the Oxfam Goose Gate shop to find clothing to ‘up-cycle’ yourself?

Get Inspired!
Each Fashion Design student was asked to bring in items they found inspiring as a starting point for the ‘Up-Cycling’ project. Students brought in a mix of nostalgic family photos, postcards of artists' paintings and even their favourite pair of shoes! In groups the students will look at all their inspiring objects and draw links between them. This will help them to develop a trend or a theme to use when ‘Up-Cycling’ their Oxfam items.
